Since Thursday, November 3rd, 2022, WPML announced possible conflicts with WordPress 6.1 which can cause website slowdowns or fatal errors.

If you’re experiencing this issue, please download WPML String Translation version 3.2.3 and update it on your website. This should fix fatal errors and slowdowns.

Given the number of requests, WPML’s website is down, so if you need to contact them, please do so via their Facebook page.
